A planned cesarean is the most common reason families seek a birth muhurat — the surgeon can schedule the delivery within a date and time window, making it possible to choose the most auspicious Nakshatra and Tithi. This guide lists the 15 birth-favourable days in January 2027 computed from real Swiss Ephemeris panchang data, explains how to narrow them to a single slot with your obstetrician, and shows how to personalise the recommendation with your family's chart.

In Vedic astrology, the moment of birth fixes a child's Janam Kundli. For a planned C-section, many families request the surgery within a window that the astrologer identifies as auspicious — while the obstetrician determines what is medically safe. The process is collaborative: the doctor sets the outer boundaries; the astrologer finds the best moment within them.

The top 3 strongest dates are: 4 January (Anuradha, Dwadashi Krishna); 9 January (Uttara Ashadha, Dwitiya Shukla); 14 January (Uttara Bhadrapada, Shashthi Shukla). These have the Moon in the most auspicious birth Nakshatras. The best date for your family depends on your chart and the medically available window — get a free personalised recommendation on AstroTwinz.
All dates are computed with Swiss Ephemeris using the Lahiri (sidereal) ayanamsa — the same engine used by professional Vedic astrology software. We check the Moon's Nakshatra and the Tithi at sunrise IST and exclude Rikta tithis and Amavasya.
Share your obstetrician's available date range with AstroTwinz. The AI identifies which days within that window have a favourable Nakshatra and Tithi, then narrows to the best time of day by checking the Lagna. The final call on the medical window always rests with your doctor.
Most hospital operating theatres start elective C-sections in the morning. You can request a preferred date and, within the hospital's scheduling constraints, a morning slot. Share the ranked shortlist from AstroTwinz with your consultant.
